asked questions
.:.
Who qualifies for free hosting?
Any registered church or non-profit who resides
within Pitt County. Credentials will be checked,
so please no "self-serving" non-profit
groups. Only local non-profits who help promote
good, clean, and moral values for the Pitt County
area. HostW3 reserves the right to refuse free
hosting to anyone who does not meet these qualifications.
.:. What if I
don't qualify for free hosting?
For those that do not qualify, visit our home
page for more information about our commercial
hosting services. HostW3 has also decided to extend
a special offer to all residents and businesses
in Pitt County. We will waive ALL setup charges
AND give you 3 months of FREE hosting on any of
our web hosting plans - that's 90 full days of
FREE web hosting just because we love ya!
.:. How long does
the free part last?
Your site will be hosted for free for as long
as you want. This is not a bait and switch offer.
.:. What if I
need a different plan than FREE one offered?
HostW3 will gladly offer a 20% discount on any
hosting plan that may fit your needs better. We
will also waive the setup fee.
.:.
What design software can I use?
You can use Microsoft FrontPage, or any program
that uses FTP to transferr files. Programs like
Macromedia DreamWeaver, Adobe GoLive, and most
others.
.:.
What if I don't have a domain name yet?
HostW3 will register your domain for $14.95, normally
$35.00 from most providers.
.:.
Can we use our current domain name?
Absolutely. We will just need to update the name servers associated
with your domain to point to our servers (see below).
.:. How do I transfer my domain
to you?
You will need to update the name servers to reflect our servers.
This is normally done where you originally purchased your
domain, such as Network Solutions or Register.com. If you
provide us with the login name and password, we will update
the information for you (free of course). We have created
a step
by step procedure located in the HostW3 Forums.
